How Do We Give to God – Tithing?

This is a separate study designed to free people who’ve been harmed by the “prosperity gospel,” as well as to teach Biblical Truth to those who’ve been taught false information.

Does God’s Word instruct us to give an unceasing tithe of money to a religious organization?

Or, does Scripture direct us to give as we’re able, as led by the Holy Spirit, and that the primary destination is TO PEOPLE WHO ARE ACTUALLY IN NEED?

Fortunately, the New Covenant teaches the priesthood of all believers (1 Peter 2:5-9), rather than only a select few like in the Old Covenant. Each and every believer is now empowered as a priest and can give directly to people in need, especially to other believers who are struggling (Galatians 6:10), rather than being forced to pay religious taxes (Matthew 17:24-26).
